Dear
Friends,
It
is so nice to finally be able to write to you all as your Minister. It seems such a long time since I accepted
your Call to me.
A
lot has happened since then. I have had
to say goodbye to my last congregation in Dunfermline (and yes there were some
tears!!!). I’ve moved into the Manse –
which has been done up beautifully and is very comfortable, thank you. Then there was my Induction and Social,
which was such a happy experience and made me feel very welcome. Thank you all again for the very generous
gift and for the flowers and all the many cards which I have received. I was then preached in by my friend
Elizabeth a couple of weeks ago. I have
preached my first sermon, chaired my first Board at St Andrew’s and am now
trying to get to know all about you!!!.
Although
it has all been a bit hectic I am already feeling very much at home amongst
you. I am very much looking forward to
getting to know you all and maybe even sorting out some names, (though please
bear with me cos it takes a while). A
number of people have asked how I like to be addressed. Please do feel free to call me Fiona.
Anyway,
I look forward to the days, months and years which lie ahead – may they be
truly blessed ones for us all.
With
love and prayers
Fiona
