Dear Friends

So how are things with you? I hope you are enjoying your summer. OK so the weather hasn’t been all that great but it is nice to get a bit of a break from the regular routines isn’t it? Mind you I am sure that like me you haven’t been complaining too much about the weather when you see what has been happening down south. Surely we should take time to pray for all those who are suffering at this time.  For that is what we should do when others are suffering isn’t it? I have been aware in these past months that there are people in our parish and congregation who are having to go through their own personal struggles. Please know that if you or someone you know or love is in that situation that you are in the prayers of your minister and the congregation. I know that when I have gone through difficult times I have always felt uplifted and stronger knowing that there are people praying for me. I hope that you will be encouraged too!!!

We have recently been enjoying sharing services with our brothers and sisters in Clifton Parish Church. It is always a great joy to worship together with others and to get to know people better. I hope that those of you who managed to come along to these services enjoyed them too.

The other day I received a phone call from the organiser for the African Children’s Choir to ask if St Andrews would provide the venue for them to do a concert on September 7th. So I hope you will put this in your diary. We don’t sell tickets for this, rather there is an offering uplifted on the night of the concert – so do please come along and bring all your friends. We also have to provide accommodation for one night in peoples houses – so if you can help with this I need to speak with you a.s.a.p. I think this will be a very exciting event.

I think that is all our news at the moment. Do look out for our own fundraising events and support them as much as you are able!!! Enjoy the rest of the summer!!!!!

God be with you and those whom you love

With love and prayers

Fiona N
